Yorkshire Grower Dave Parkinson has been awarded the Westonbirt Medal by the RHS for his outstanding display of orchids at the Hampton Court Flower Show 2011 . Photo shows Mary and Dave being presented with the award by Elizabeth Banks President of the RHS . Dave took up orchids after growing lettuce at Snaith Salads . STC congratulates Dave on this remarkable achievement which shows that with dedication and enthusiasm new horizons can be explored and conquered .
