Downy Mildew found on Impatiens

This note is to advise you that downy mildew has been found on Impatiens at a number of UK locations in the last few days. Early indications are that in at least one instance the infection originated in cutting-raised material. It is also understood that at one of the outbreak sites the infection has already moved onto adjacent seed-raised plants. Plant Clinic investigations are continuing.
Impatiens crops, especially any cutting-raised material, need to be checked urgently and a routine fungicide programme is advisable on all untreated crops  as the risk of infection this season is evidently high.
