The Carbon Dioxide emitted from all the peat extracted from UK bogs for horticulture is equivalent to that emitted by 1650 HGV lorries per year .
There are 450,000 HGV lorries which means we ‘horticulture destroyers’ emit the same as 0.37 % of UK HGV lorry fleet .
