The National Trust view of land management

The National Trust view of land management based on their property portfolio but expanded to more generic thinking    . The view is obviously framed from an upland stance  as this is where their experience emanates. Their statement on food production as only one function of land ,rather than main function, would jar if you were hungry I guess , and is a very advanced country view if one reads many world review papers. The recommendation to reconnect people with the countryside seems to question the removal of visitor points from HLS schemes by Defra. The CAP recommendations are rather at odds with NFU/ CLA  but are a major view to be considered
