One example of industry taking a clear lead to support us as growers is in the R&D arena. The new industry collaboration between Stockbridge Technology Centre, ADAS and East Malling Research creating a new applied R&D delivery ‘platform’ is beginning to make real progress and is a significant step forward. I hope there will be other complimentary parties who take an interest in joining this platform to ensure the innovation and research needs of our industry are met swiftly and effectively.
