Novel insecticide Spruzit (pyrethrin and rapeseed oil) can now be applied using horizontal boom-mounted sprayers. This method of application was previously excluded, but the new label takes Spruzit out of the nursery and into the field, making it available for growers of field crops such as lettuce, strawberries and brassicas for the first time – both conventional and organic (see below for details of certification authority approval).
